JGSEE-CEE Recognized for its Work on Climate Change Policy

On 9 September 2014, The European Union Delegation, the UK Embassy and the German Embassy, in partnership with the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP) of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, organized a Global Joint Action Day on Climate Change at the Swissotel Nai Lert Park’s Ballroom.
The event was marked by the official launch of the “Human Dynamics of Climate Change” (HDCC) maps in Thailand.  The HDCC is developed by the Met Office and funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Government Office for Science. It draws on the latest and most robust climate science evidence, reflected in the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) latest assessment report and builds on the historic success of the UK’s “Four Degree Map” in 2009.
JGSEE-CEE is one of the eight selected Thai agencies working on climate change policy that received a poster-sized framed map from the Deputy Head of Mission of the British Embassy.
