Research Focus > Atmospheric Science and Modeling Atmospheric Science and ModelingThe objective is to provide scientific knowledge and data enabling: (1) the evaluation of local and regional air quality and its impacts, as well as its implications on climate change and, (2) assessment of the potential atmosphere-related energy sources such as solar and wind energy. The research themes include air quality monitoring and modeling particularly from power generation, transportation, and open burning; noise pollution modeling; oceanic modeling; climate modeling; and implications of air pollution on climate change.
