Climate Change and Carbon Cycle
The goal is to develop and promote scientific understanding and databases to support decision making on issues related to climate change. There are three areas of focus:

Understanding the science of climate change, involving greenhouse gas sinks and sources inventory, and carbon sequestration and
agro-ecosystem.

Impact and vulnerability assessment and measures for adaptation, covering the natural ecosystem, agro-ecosystem, forest and coastal zones.

Development of mitigation options and policy, including investigations on mitigation technologies and greenhouse gas reduction mechanisms such as the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).
