Guide to admissions

Eligibility to apply

To be eligible for the Joint Graduate School energy and environment, you must have the following

MSc program must hold a first degree in engineering, science, economics, technology, agriculture or related fields, MEng program must hold in engineering only, with a minimum GPA of 2.50, or be ranked top 25% of the class. Applicants with other qualifications may be admitted on a case by case basis subject to the approval of JGSEE’s Executive Committee.

PhD applicants must have a Masters degree with a GPA of at least 3.25 and also must have the possess relevant research experience that is substantiated by published technical papers. Working experience is also special considered.

Find Research Topics

Find research topics, together with the names of supervisors who offer them .Consultation with head department, and academic service section if no alternative choice. (go to research groups)

Contact the Staff

Contact the staff offering the topic before making application.

Note: that the supervisor you choose may be attached to any one of the 5 universities in the consortium. So when you choose the thesis topic and supervisor, please observe the name of the university he is attached too. Supervisor, affiliate will be the place you are going to undertake your thesis study.

Preparing Documents

All applications must be completed the online admission and also preparing the supporting documents as following

  1. Online Admission
  2. 1 Recent Photograph of 1-inch size
  3. Transcript (if incompletes, must be submit certify letter)
  4. ID Card or Copy of Passport (Bio page)
  5. 3 Letters of Recommendations
  6. Interview Evaluation Form (for an approach supervisor only)
  7. Tentative Proposal
  8. Publication (For Ph.D. only)
  9. Result of English Performance Test

Results of English performance test (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS etc., if any)
Note: Explanative on application form is attached applicants are recommend to read the explanation before fill in the form.

Submitting Required Documents

Submit the required documents as electronically at adisorn@jgsee.kmutt.ac.th

Interview or Consideration through Documents

All applicants must be Inrerviewed or Considered through documents by JGSEE’s committees taking on admission schedule.

Receiving an Admission Decision
