International Joint Workshop on Bio-drying MBT for post-Phitsanulok Model

On 16 October 2015, JGSEE-CEE in collaboration with Eco-Energy Research Center, Institute of Urban Science, University of Seoul, Korea, Phitsanulok Municipality, Thailand, Naresuan University, Phitsanulok, Thailand, and Center for Material Cycles & Waste Management Research, NIES, Japan hosted the International Joint Workshop on Bio-drying MBT for post-Phitsanulok Model at Chatrium Hotel Riverside, Bangkok, Thailand. This joint workshop is aimed for ‘The regions proper sustainable solid waste management in Asia and other tropical countries’ under the sponsorship of KETEP, Korea. The workshop is under the Specific Memorandum of Understanding (SMOU) for Joint Project on Research and System Development Related to Solid Waste Treatment between Eco-Energy Research Center, Institute of Urban Science, University of Seoul (Korea), Naresuan University (Thailand), Phitsanulok Municipality (Thailand), and JGSEE-CEE, KMUTT.

In the workshop, the Current experience with regards to Phitsanulok Model and International Experiences in Korean and Japan were shared by the experts in 5 institutions from 3 countries (Thailand, Korea, and Japan), in addition, there was the discussion on post-Phitsanulok Model. The joint workshop was successfully gathered over 60 participants from academic, governmental, and private sectors form Thailand, Korea, and Japan.
