The normal duration of a Master program is 2 years and that of a PhD program is 3 years from Master level. All students are required to enroll for their first semester of study at JGSEE on KMUTT campus, while the remaining semesters may be spent at any one of the partner institutions (consortium). In the latter case, the students may have their credits earned at JGSEE transferred to a corresponding program at the partner institution.

To be eligible for the Joint Graduate School Energy and Environment, you must comply with the following requirements:
MSc program: applicants must hold a first degree in engineering, science, economics, technology, agriculture or related fields,
MEng program: applicants must hold a first degree in engineering with a minimum GPA of 2.50, or be ranked in the top 25% of the class. Applicants with other qualifications may be admitted on a case-by-case basis based on approval from the JGSEE’s Executive Committee.
Applicants must hold a first degree in science, engineering, or technology with a GPA of at least 3.25 out of 4.00. Other applicants may be admitted on a case-by-case basis based on approval from the JGSEE’s interview committee.
School fee 40,000 baht/semester
Tuition fee 4,000 baht/credit
One of the aims of JGSEE is to produce high quality research work. To this end, funds are made available to all students as thesis expenses starting from the first semester that the students enroll for their thesis study. The maximum amount of funding for each program is set below:
MEng/MSc: 135,000 baht
PhD: 290,000 baht
A number of scholarships are also available for students with appropriate qualifications. A Scholarship that includes monthly stipend and tuition/school fees may be awarded to a student who has a prominent academic record and show high potential for accomplishment. Partial scholarships are also available for those who have very good academic records. This latter type of scholarship may include the support for all the fees, or either school fee or tuition fee. The scholarship recipients are select by a panel on the basis of academic records and financial need. A scholarship recipient’s academic progress is reviewed at the end of each semester to determine the recipient’s eligibility for continued support.
