JGSEE contributes to SETA 2016

During 23-25 March 2016, the Ministry of Energy, Thailand and the Nuclear Society of Thailand collaborated to host the International Conference and Exhibition titled “Sustainable Energy & Technology Asia 2016” (or SETA 2016). The event was held at BITEC in Bangkok. SETA 2016 aimed at bringing together planners, regulators, researchers, engineers, scientists, economists, operators, manufacturers, industry and scholars to exchange and share their experiences in research, planning as well as implementation and operation of energy systems. The Conference and Exhibition provided an ideal platform for participants to share their views and experiences as well as to discuss practical approaches for sustainable utilisation of energy in the region.

The topics of the event covered the whole spectrum of energy use from electricity generation to transport, and from industrial consumption to household consumption. KMUTT and JGSEE-CEE were among the organising partners of SETA 2016 and KMUTT was one of the exhibitors under the theme “Securing Asia’s Energy Future”. During the conference, Prof Surapong Chirarattananon (head of BEST Lab at JGSEE), delivered a presentation on “Green Buildings and Infrastructure” under the session: Sustainable Energy and Green Technology. Also, Mr Phatthi Punyasukhananda, a JGSEE student, presented on the topic “Views from Expert Groups on Criteria: A Case of AHP Application for LNG Cold Utilisation” in the session: Transportation and Alternative fuels.
