KMUTT’s 15th Research Forum on PM2.5 in Thailand

On 8 February 2019, the KMUTT Research, Innovation and Partnerships Office (RIPO), together with its partners, held Research Forum No. 15 whose theme is about fine particulate matter pollution (or PM2.5) in Bangkok and its surrounding areas, which has recently been hot environmental issue in Thailand. Prof. Dr. Sumreung Jakjai kindly gave an opening remark. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kasemsan Manomaiphiboon from the JGSEE-CEE and Asst. Prof. Dr. Prapat Pongkiatkul from the Department of Environmental Engineering jointly gave a talk on “Past and Future Outlooks of PM2.5” in Thailand, broadly covering basic facts and knowledge of PM2.5 science, situation, potential sources, health standards, mitigation measures and management. Moreover, Dr. Padung Nangsue form Bangpakok 9 International Hospital joined the event to share a talk on “Health Effects of PM 2.5 and Protection”.
