JGSEE-CEE is very pleased to congratulate Dr Thapat Silalertruksa for his promotion to the position of Associate Professor dating back to 8 December 2017.
Dr Thapat works in the Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment Laboratory (LCSAL) that is headed by Prof Shabbir H Gheewala. His expertise focuses on sustainability assessment of food and bioenergy systems, life cycle assessment (LCA) of products, and carbon and water footprinting of food, feed and fuel. He has published over 40 international journal papers in this particular area.
Over the past few years, Dr Thapat has also contributed to several research projects associated with water-energy-food nexus, sustainability assessment of food, biofuel and biorefineries, and LCA of waste-to-energy for municipal solid waste management. Those research projects aimed to support policy decision making as well as the promotion of Thai industries for improving environmental sustainability performance via various assessment tools e.g. carbon footprint, water footprint, and cleaner technology.
JGSEE-CEE is very pleased to congratulate Dr Janewit Wannapeera, Dr Pornlada Daorattanachai and Dr Supachita Krerkkraiwan for their respective promotion to the position of Assistant Professor.
Dr Janewit promotion dates back to 10 October 2018. He works in the Advanced Fuel Processing Laboratory (AFPL). His expertise focuses on solid fuel processing technologies such as upgrading of biomass wastes and low rank coal, production and utilization of advanced materials produced from biomass wastes. Over the past few years, Dr Janewit has contributed to research projects associated with Thai government agencies and private companies as well as with organisations in Japan and China.
Dr Pornlada’s promoition dates back to 10 October 2018. She works in the Advanced Fuel Processing Laboratory (AFPL). Her expertise focuses on developing novel heterogeneous solid catalysts for biomass valorisation, conversion of biomass to biochemical and biofuels, and hydrogen production. Over the past few years, Dr. Pornlada has contributed to several research projects associated with the oil palm-based industry, sugar industry, pulp and paper industry, and government budget grants.
Dr Supachita promotion dates back to 11 July 2019. She works in the Advanced Fuel Processing Laboratory (AFPL). Her expertise focuses on (1) thermochemical conversion of biomass and coal i.e. coal and biomass combustion as well as on (2) biomass pretreatment i.e. washing treatment and torrefaction. Over the past few years, Dr Supachita has also contributed to several research projects associated with Thai governmental organizations (TRF, NRCT and NSTDA) and internationally with organisations in Japan (JICA/JST) and EU (CIRAD, France and KIT, Germany).
