The forty-ninth Session of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) took place at the Kyoto International Conference Center, in the city of Kyoto, Japan during 8-12 May 2019 with the aim of adopting the 2019 Refinement of the 2006 Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories, another product of IPCC on National Greenhouse Gas Inventory. In this regard, Assoc Prof Dr Sirintornthep Towprayoon form The Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi joined the event and played a major role as Coordinating Lead Author (CLA) of the 2019 Refinement on Volume 5: Waste sector. The Refinement was adopted by the panel and is to be published on the IPCC website soon. This refinement will be used in conjunction with the IPCC 2006 Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories.
