Visit of Austrade and Australian Delegation at KMUTT Bangkhuntien Campus

During 27-29 April 2016, Austrade organised an Australia-Thailand Research and Innovation Mission to create and enhance international research collaboration opportunities with important regional partners such as Thailand.

On this occasion, 10 Austrade and Australian delegates came to KMUTT on 29 April to visit the Bangkhuntien. They were welcomed by Assoc Prof Dr Solot Suwanayuen, KMUTT Vice President in Charge of Bangkuntien. Assoc Prof Dr Bundit Fungtammasan, KMUTT Senior Vice President for Research & Innovation, introduced KMUTT, while Assoc Prof Dr Suneerat Fukuda presented JGSEE-CEE and Dr Annop Nopharatana the Pilot Plant Development and Training Institute (PDTI).

Ms Tracy Harris, Trade Commissioner, Austrade, informed of the objectives of the visit. This was followed by a short introduction of all the delegates from Australia and Austrade. A visit of the AFPL facilities (Thermal and Biorefinery Lab) and of the National Biopharmaceutical Facility (NBF) was then organised prior to some final discussions between all the parties involved on potential opportunities for future collaboration.
